Over the last 7 years, I have helped companies of varying sizes develop and deploy multilevel marketing campaigns, perform industry specific statistical research, analysis, and issue advocacy, manage corporate internet enterprises, and develop marketing/contact management databases in collaboration with sales and implementation efforts so as to ensure database accuracy and completeness.

For three of those years, I worked with the American Association of Retired Persons as a policy researcher, author, and online content manager. This diverse experience provided me with an essential skill set enabling me to approach each new opportunity with creativity, precision and attention to detail that meet today’s tough market demands.

The last three years have been with the TruSecure Corporation as an Internet portal manager, and ChainDrugStore.net as director of marketing. This experience gave me direct understanding of the challenges these new companies face in gaining market share in a crowded arena. I can help a successful corporation stand apart from the crowd and build a distinct online identity within its segment through strategic marketing efforts, online enterprise management and marketing communications.

Galileo - a spacecraft originally designed to work for just two years during a 12 flyby tour of the Jovian system is still working over five years and 33 flybys later.

But with Galileo having taken several times the dose of Jovian radiation it was designed to endure, NASA has basically said no to a science campaign during the final flyby opportunity on Nov 5 this year of Jupiter's little inner moon Amalthea, a potato-shaped lump of dark reddish rock 270 by 150 kilometers, which up to now has only been seen at distances of 100,000 km or more by Galileo and the Voyagers.

Galileo will fly within a mere 500 km of Amalthea, which would seem to present a splendid opportunity for closeup photos of it. There's only one problem: NASA currently has no plans to do so. The reason, as usual: NASA's funding problems.

Netflicks - Netflix is the world's largest movie rental subscription service, with more than 500,000 subscribers and a comprehensive library of more than 11,500 titles. ^{www.netflicks.com}

Moviefone - AOL Moviefone, Inc., through its Moviefone telephone service (e.g. 777-FILM) and Moviefone.com web site, is the largest interactive movie listing guide and ticketing service in the country. ^{www.moviefone.com}

Financial

CharityNavigator.Org - This site offers a rating system to see how your favorite charities spend money. They have a wide selection of charities to choose from, some local, mostly national. They also help donors understand what an acceptable level of administration spending to expect based on the type of charity. Tax calculators are also provided along with other good tools.^{www.charitynavigator.org}

BankRate.com – This site offers an easy way to compare bank rates for a wide variety of loans, accounts and credit cards ^{www.bankrate.com}

Job hunting skills are very important in the current economy. We have spent some time putting together a list of great Job/Career websites.

FlipDog – This job site seems to come up with a fairly different set of openings then the big guys which makes it a nice complement. Its email alerts are also more robust than others. ^{www.FlipDog.com}

Direct Employers - Unlike other job sites, this one searches directly the job sections of a company’s site. Since advertising on the big job boards is so expensive, many employers only list a fraction of their openings. This site uncovers a lot of hidden gems and they are all up-to-date! ^{http://www.directemployers.com}

Headhunter.net - This site is as good as any other "big name" job search website. Rob prefers it to the Careerbuilder.com website. It offers job searching, resume storing, cover letter storing, online application for some jobs, and a resume upgrade service (which appears to improve the positioning of your resume in the website's search engines used by recruiters.)^{www.headhunter.net}

Miscellaneous

Epinions - Since people line up for our opinions every day, we thought it best to streamline them on the Web. Epinions allows average folks to offer up their thoughts on any number of products and offerings – from the latest Broadway musical to DVD players and running shoes, opinions abound. It’s a great way to get some thoughts before you buy items unseen through catalogs or online. Plus, its just fun. Junk Busters – Here are several good sites to stop annoying spam emails, junk mail and telemarketing. At least the conscientious companies will take you off their lists, and that will do wonders! We suggest signing up at all three since they all have slightly different audiences.

Once Upon A Cake - We got our Wedding Cake from this one woman shop. She is very creative and many guests commented that this was the first good tasting wedding cake they ever ate!^{http://www.onceuponacake.com}

All the Web - This is one of our favorite search engine websites. It has a full refresh cycle of 7 - 11 days, delivering hundredss of millions of multimedia, video, MP3, and software files all within a single search result page.

Google.com - Google operates a web site at www.google.com that is widely recognized as the "World's Best Search Engine" and is fast, accurate and easy to use. The company also serves corporate clients with cost-effective advertising targeted by keyword and with breakthrough search technology that makes it easy for visitors to find the information they need, whether on a client's web site or elsewhere on the Internet.

Shopping

Amazon – Although you might wonder why a book dealer is now selling cookware and clothing, this retailer has made great resale deals with big name companies. I shop here for a lot of gifts. Also, if you haven’t checked out Amazon’s used books, do it today. We have gotten brand new books for pennies on the dollar, as well as some lightly used out-of-print classics. I’m starting to sell some of my thousands of books through here and its easy and profitable. ^{http://www.amazon.com}
